Seville is the capital city of Andalusia. An interesting and very touristical city with a nice mix of cultures and a long history. The trip to Seville is a full-day activity and is usually organised on Saturday.
We meet at the bullring at 9:00 to take our private bus and start our trip to Seville. The journey lasts 1 and a half. We get to Seville at 10:30 and start our day with a quiet beautiful walk through Parque de María Luisa until Plaza de España. There, we make some games and actvities to practice Spanish and help students overcome shyness: we find clues, recite Spanish poems and solve enigmas.
After that, we have some free time for lunch at the city center. At 13:00, we visit the Alcázar, the Muslim palace. This place is now very popular among young people because the famous series Game of Thrones has been filmed there, specifically, the city of Dorne.
After a short walk through Santa Cruz, the Jewish neighborhood, we visit the Cathedral. The Cathedral of Seville is full of curiosities and history and it is one of the biggest catholic temples around the world. Only San Pedro (Vaticano) and Nuestra Señora Aparecida (Brazil) are bigger than it. We can can also go up to the Giralda tower, and enjoy the beautiful view of Seville.
Both visits are guided by an official guide of Seville.
Then, students enjoy some free time for shopping or coffee. Seville is a very busy city and iits streets and squares are full of life.
Our trip finishes at 17:00, when we take our bus back to El Puerto de Santa María.
